Description
What is chelatedzinc?
Chelated zinc is a form of zinc that has been bound to an amino acid—in this case, glycine—to create zinc glycinate. This chelation process helps protect zinc as it moves through the digestive system, allowing it to be absorbed more efficiently and gently compared to some traditional zinc forms. Because of its enhanced bioavailability and reduced likelihood of causing stomach discomfort, chelated zinc is considered one of the most effective and well-tolerated forms of zinc supplementation.
Carotec's Zinc now has 100% glycinate, a highly absorbable form of zinc. Nearly 100 different enzymes depend on zinc for their ability to catalyze vital chemical reactions. Zinc also plays a role in the structure of proteins and cell membranes.
